Public contract records in Svatantra.ai's signal database show 66 federal contracts whose award description names artificial intelligence, machine learning or large language models with a start date in September 2026, to 56 recipients across 16 named agencies. Obligations as printed sum to $137,732,713. The orders run from $7,000 for Copilot training to $14,175,439 for an AI roadmap at Customs and Border Protection, and three of them carry base-and-all-options values far above what was obligated, led by a Treasury BPA call for ChatGPT licenses and tokens at $487,034,681. The month after, GSA's per-token ChatGPT pricing and its new AI data clause took effect. This note sets out the counts, the named records, the new GSA terms and what the data does not show.
