Signal of the week · Research note · 26 Oct 2026
46 storm repair projects on Texas highways listed since June 2026. 23 trace to the July 2025 floods, 14 months on. The July 2026 floods have 5 so far
Public project listings from the Texas Department of Transportation in Svatantra.ai's signal database carry 46 records classified as Emergency Relief Projects, the federal highway storm-repair program, dated between 1 June and 23 October 2026. 23 of them name the July 2025 floods and were all listed on 8 September 2026, 14 months after the storm. Five name the July 2026 floods, the first on 8 September and four more on 22 October 2026. This note sets out the counts, five records checked against the public open-data feed, the Governor's disaster declarations and the federal program rules for context, and what the data does not show: above all, that these are listing dates and estimates, not bid openings or awards.
